Thank you to all of you who came to this year’s KAMP flu clinics. You came in your thousands to get your flu vaccines at clinics in Pewsey Bouverie Hall and St Mary’s School, Marlborough. We vaccinated 4 patients per minute for 6 hours – some very tired staff but a job very well done! Thank you to our staff for giving up precious weekend days and making the clinics run so smoothly.

KAMP staff also visited the housebound and those in care homes to administer flu and Covid vaccinations and we ran Covid vaccination clinics for the most vulnerable of our eligible patients.

This season, we will have administered a staggering 3721 flu vaccines and 1002 Covid vaccines.

KAMP is currently trying to raise awareness of the increasing number of specialists working with our GPs to provide your care. This issue, we look at paramedics whose experience in the ambulance service make them invaluable in assessing and treating acutely unwell people of all ages, both in the surgery and in home visits. Paramedic Practitioners are highly qualified and can prescribe medications, refer patients and arrange tests and investigations. KAMP has 3 paramedic practitioners – together with triage nurses and GPs they are key members of our Medically Urgent team.
