Tower and Town, December 2014 (view the full edition)Cards For ChristmasThe angel on the front cover of this edition and here in this article is on a card being sold by the Friends of Wiltshire Churches The Trust raises money for the repair of churches and chapels in Wiltshire and in the last year it has made grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 for repairs to 29 places of worship in Wiltshire, several local to Marlborough. Please support the Wiltshire Historic Churches Trust by buying cards. The Friends help to raise the money through membership fees and activities such as visits to churches. The annual Ride and Stride in which individuals take part, visiting scores of churches on a September day, is a big fund-raiser.
