A FAIRWELL FOR DAVID BOUSKILL AND SHEILA NUNN

On Friday 4 September 1992 the Marlborough Youth Partnership held a FAIRWELL for DAVID BOUSKILL, the Ecumenical Youth Work Volunteer and SHEILA NUNN, the Ecumenical Youth Work Supervisor, as their turns of office came to an end.

The first of three speeches which preceded the presentation of gifts to both of them was delivered by Howard Gilbert about Sheila. It expressed our admiration for her three main attributes - ability to teach, fun and love; and our thanks to her for using them within such contexts as the Bible study groups, You've got it wrong again, Gabriel, Pentecost Praise and Chri Freedom 11.

The second speech was by Robin Mason about David, which admired his work in setting up and running 'The King's Arms' drop-in centre, the 11 - 14 'Saturday at Six' group, and special events like trips to concerts and to hear speakers.

Michael Cripps spoke on behalf of the Marlborough Christian Council, saying how excited they were about the progress made and the future potential of youth work, drawing our particular attention to the Confirmation Preparation Groups. There, for the first time, the Clergy could take a back seat role, dotting 'i's and crossing 't's, while Sheila and David gave their 'Flock' foundations for the rest of their Christian lives.
