Time

The time has come to reflect on the dead,
who sacrificed the gift of life
For the greater good.

We must honour our dying heroes,
Who have almost gone.
Their lives shattered by the bang of a gun.
These lives were not all wasted,
For we have won the Great War.

But only two decades later, another war started upon hatred.
All the same…. many lost,
But God stayed with us through til the end.

So let us take two minutes of our time,
For that is the least that they deserve
For what they did for us and our country.
