Tower and Town, August 2026 (view the full edition)      Nature Poetry, Year 7The river runs behind my house, Past trees and rocks and one small mouse. It isn’t always smooth and bright, Sometimes it’s loud, sometimes it’s quiet. It pushes hard on rainy days, And carries sticks and leaves away. I like to sit and throw in stones, And listen to its splashing sounds. The water feels so cold and fast, It never stops, it never lasts. It flows somewhere I cannot see, Maybe all the way to the sea.
